This past Friday, we unveiled our latest addition to our permanent art collection. We held a reception, introducing artist Kedgar Volta and his multimedia video and photography installation, Urban Impositions.
Dylan Wilson captured these intense images from the warehouse fire that broke out at the Georgia Ports Authority’s Ocean Terminal on February 8th.
The Port of Savannah is the 4th busiest seaport in the nation.
Ben Carter Enterprises, the man behind The Outlet Mall of Georgia and the Mall of Georgia has his eye on Broughton Street. The project, that stems from Drayton to Montgomery Street will bring retail, dining, and studio loft apartments, and also a slew of new jobs to town. Ben Carter, acknowledges that our very own Lori Judge, is initially the person that sparked his interest with changing the face of our business district in downtown Savannah. With contracts out to purchase over 20 buildings, we are looking to the future and the life this will bring to our already growing downtown streets and economy.
Lori Judge recently opened up her home for an editorial photo shoot. We were drawn to the front room because of the overabundance of natural light. Natural light can change the mood of your home while making your rooms feel larger. Like Lori, consider light weight window treatments, and to maximize the brightness of your home consider light colors on your walls, floors, and ceiling.
Find a comfortable seat and read these tips to increase natural lighting. It just may raise the value of your home while reducing your lighting bill.
