Lori Judge, founder and CEO of Judge Realty, recently visited Tucson, Arizona for the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase. After accessing the triumphant haul, we took some time to break down the purposes of a few gems and see what the feng shui enthusiast herself had to say about the experience. Though you may not personally buy into the benefits of crystals within your space, you can’t deny they bring an element of elevation to every environment.
“It was like a candy store. Anything you could ever imagine was up for sale, from crystals the size of my desk to gems by the truckload,” said Judge, “If you ever get the chance to go, take it. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth the trip to see the amazing things our planet can create within itself.”
The expo, an annual pilgrimage for every designer, mystic, and collector, is the largest gathering of stone wholesalers from around the country bringing everything from pearls to geodes the size of small cars to a state fair style open forum. Prices range from $5 rocks to massive display gems that cost about the same as one of our listings. Staying within the more modest range, Judge brought back a slew of stones to finesse the office with more positivity.
We chose to focus on the stones we find most useful in our office, but you may gravitate towards something else. If you just want something visually appealing to sit on your desk take a look at labradorite or amethyst, but if you’re looking to really enhance your office or home glance through the research we’ve done for you.Photography: Heath Daniel

Originally from Manhattan, Kevin Quat moved to Savannah by way of Bluffton last year to be closer to his family and further pursue our rapidly expanding development market. As the owner and president of an already well established property management company, Absolute Island Management, Quat was an obvious fit for the Judge Realty team. Before the transition to Judge, he grew his own company to manage more than 500 units with a collective portfolio of over $100M.
Of the transition, Judge founder and CEO Lori Judge said, “It’s exciting to bring in new blood that already has such a handle on how the market works. The Bluffton market is a little different than Savannah’s but his experience and past results speak for themselves. I’m really looking forward to seeing how he carves out his place with us.”
Quat, a licensed sales agent in both South Carolina and Georgia, hopes to start working with buyers and investors. “I want to build a network of investors so that when an opportunity presents itself I can secure the equity for new developments and help Savannah realize its potential,” he said. After graduating from Emory University in 2003, he started his career as a leasing agent on a 640-unit, garden style apartment community, working for Julian LeCraw and Company in Atlanta. Within his first six months, he was a top agent for the company, generating in excess of a million dollars of rental revenue per year. He has held every position in the property management field – from accounts payable/receivable, to multi-site manager, and asset manager.
Moving forward, Quat wants to streamline the rental procedures for Judge Rents and then transition into developments that can be managed by our company. He has the experience and knowledge, the eye for unlocking potential, and the drive to make it happen. We’re extremely happy to welcome him to the team and look forward to seeing him find his place in Savannah’s market.
