Realizing how lucky we truly are seems an inconsequential thought when the rest of the community and world were so gravely affected by Hurricane Matthew; however, we somehow remain somewhat unscathed with few power outages and minor damages to our properties. Thanks to the amazing work of the entire community, most of our immediately tangible world is almost back to normal. At Judge Realty, our office is fully functional again with realtors and property managers working around the clock to help in any way that we can.
In a situation we’d wish on no one, it was inspiring to see the community band together-neighbors cleaning squares, strangers sharing phone chargers, and people bringing the Georgia Power workers bottled water and snacks. We’re reminded why we chose this as our home, why we always fight for our town, and why we can’t image hanging our realtor licenses anywhere else.
We ultimately owe gratitude to the City of Savannah: emergency responders, police and firemen, city officials and news sources who diligently updated us. We are truly grateful that in a moment of need, efficiency and functionality were not disturbed.Photography: Bill Dawers
