Rhett initially came to Savannah as a teacher in the mid 70’s. Even
though he enjoyed his teaching role he soon entered the Real Estate
Industry. Since the late 1970’s Rhett has been in the field of commercial
real estate and has been fortunate to be involved with in the sale of some
of the region’s quality developments and restorations. These projects
include many of Savannah’s historic buildings and developments such
as the former Manger Hotel, Hutchinson Island and Chatham Center.
He has served in many civic and professional capacities including past
president of the Savannah Board of Realtors, past Chairman of the
Commercial Council of Realtors (fore runner of the Realtors Commercial
Alliance), former trustee of The Historic Savannah Foundation, Past
President of the Coastal Georgia Land Trust, Former board member
Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire and many more. Rhett
currently serves as president of Hilltop Property Owners Association
in Cashiers, North Carolina where he and his family like to spend their
leisure time (if there is any!) Rhett is currently a member of the Society
of Industrial and Office Realtors. He is married to Carol, a commercial
Real Estate appraiser and they have two grown children and Caroline
HuiDi, aged 9. Rhett enjoys music of all kinds and is active as keyboard
player with his church. He also enjoys outdoor sports including running,
hiking, and camping.
